Executive Director
Pastor Wayne Harrison

Pastor Wayne Harrison returned to Agape May 1, 2022 after previously serving as the Interim Executive Director from March, 2018 to January, 2020.  After his return in May as an Interim Director, he was then named Executive Director by the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2023.  He has served as pastor in two congregations in Michigan, and as Interim Pastor in 2 congregations in Ohio.  Before his first retirement in 2011 he served for 11 years as the Executive Director of Crossways Camping Ministries in northeast Wisconsin.  During his service in outdoor ministry he was very active in the formation of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries and served as Board President for two years as the organization began developing into the strong organization that now serves over 100 outdoor ministry sites in the country associated with the ELCA.  He earned a BA degree from the University of Michigan (1971), an MDiv from Luther/Northwestern Seminary (1977), and a JD from Thomas Cooley Law School (1988).

During his first term of service Pastor Wayne developed a passion for Camp Agape and those it serves.  His hope is that Agape Ministry will become a vibrant, year round, inclusive, sustainable ministry for all ages.  There is a lot of work to be accomplished to get there, but there has to be a beginning point at some time, and he believes, “The time for Agape is NOW!”

Catherine McClelland

For the past 5 years I have experienced the joys of working at Camp Agape as the Administrative Assistant as well as planning some of our special events. Camp Agape has extraordinary sunrises, breath taking sunset, the changing of the seasons, and the abundant wild life. It has been an experience like no other.

I have the pleasure of sharing my life with my grandson and fur baby. I have a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Robert Morris University, an Associate Degree from Penn Commercial in Business Administration, and an Associate Degree from Penn State in Liberal Arts. I enjoy walking, reading, quilting, sewing, cooking, and enjoy new ideas and experiences.
