Agape Retreat and Learning Center

The Agape Retreat & Learning Center is set atop a hill to enhance the breathtaking views you will experience while at Camp Agape. There is ample classroom space available at the center to facilitate learning and fellowship. Its beautiful stone fireplace, state of the art kitchen, restrooms, and large open space makes it an ideal environment for retreats, either day or overnight. There is room for gatherings of up to sixty people. In addition, retreat groups of up to thirty people can dedicate separate space for teaching sessions, group meetings, and eating. Our retreat center is fully equipped and can be utilized year round.

Alpha & Omega Cabins

The Alpha and Omega cabins are a duplex style lodging. From beginning to end the two sides are identical. Each side boasts bunk beds for 12 campers or guests. There are also two shower stalls, two sinks, and a restroom on each side. In the summer this facility is occupied by our summer campers, however it is available for retreat groups and family gatherings during the fall, winter, and spring months. This lodging is fully equipped and is set near the Retreat and Learning Center. In addition to everything these new builds offer our guests, the magnificent views of the landscape from this location top it all off!

Faith & Hope Cabins

The Faith and Hope Cabins are utilized for summer camp and are available for retreat groups during the fall, winter and spring months. Each cabin is equipped with a spacious full bathroom. The Faith and Hope Cabins both feature six comfortable bunk beds, providing sleeping for up to twelve in each cabin. You will also experience a well lit atmosphere due to the inclusion of ample windows, letting in natural light while simultaneously offering a pleasant view of the Camp Agape grounds. Plan your retreat for any season because both cabins are fully equipped, providing for a comfortable experience year round.

Gatehouse

The Gatehouse is the first building you come to upon arrival at Camp Agape. The building houses staff during summer camp and is available for retreat groups in the off season. The main office is located here as well, and this is where volunteer(s) sign in before they proceed to work on areas of the camp. The Gatehouse includes a 3 bedroom/1 bath apartment boasting its own kitchen and living room. It is a comfortable space to relax and meditate. There is lodging space for eight guests if utilized for a retreat. In addition to this, the spacious conference room on the lower level can accommodate 12 comfortably. The building is fully equipped, having all the necessary amenities, and is available year round.

Shower House

The Shower House is located in Lower Camp Agape next to the pool and the Sap Shack. It is divided into two nearly identical halves, one side for girls and the other for boys. This facility is not just a plain old bathroom. It is immaculate, spacious, and pristine, boasting tilework throughout. It has all the necessities plus some. The Shower House has a wheelchair accessible shower, plus two additional showers, sinks, and toilets.

Designated Tent Camping Area

For those who love being in the outdoors, tent camping can be a pleasant, convenient, and inexpensive adventure. Tent camping is also an experience that is sure to create life long memories! Pitching a tent and cooking underneath the stars is the perfect way to connect to nature, yourself, and one another. The designated area for tent camping is adjacent to the Shower House in Lower Camp Agape, ensuring a safe short walk to the facilities. There is ample room to spread out under the trees and sky. Overall, our tent camping area offers a level, dry campsite, fire ring, nearby restrooms and showers, and the freedom to stretch out.

The McGugin's Inn

McGugin’s Inn is at the heart of Camp Agape. The Inn is over 100 years old and served as farm house in the past. What a choice gem. Unfortunately, this charming two story farm house is currently under repair and refurbishment; therefore it is not available for community engagement at this time. The McGugin’s Inn has often been the base for summer camp operations and is utilized by our staff and volunteers. Overall, this house has a story it wants to tell, a history and character worth taking a moment to look at; its timeless beauty and charm blends into its surroundings as if it has always been a part of the landscape.

Pool

When hot afternoons and warm summer evenings roll around, having a pool is a great way to have fun! Swimming can also be refreshing and relaxing. Come take a dip or cannon ball into our 20’x40′ in-ground pool! Our pool opens for summer camp and is closed after Labor Day. Retreat groups may also schedule the use of the pool as well. Attention, for the safety of all our campers and guests, a certified lifeguard employed by Camp Agape must be present when the pool is used. Camp Agape’s pool is located adjacent to the Shower House and in between the Designated Tent Camping Area and the Faith and Hope Houses. Can’t wait to have fun in the sun!

St. Simon of Cyrene Cabin

Unfortunately, the St. Simon of Cyrene Cabin is not available for rental at this time. We are currently improving this space and it is undergoing renovation. This eight-sided cabin is modeled after a mud hut of southern Africa. This cabin is normally used during summer camp and is available for retreat groups during the fall and spring seasons. This cabin has electricity, but no running water. Fortunately, our spacious Shower House is within a short walking distance. If it gets too hot in the octagon, a portable air conditioner is available upon request. Inside three bunk beds provide sleeping for up to six people. I don’t know about you but I have never had the opportunity to stay in an octagon shaped house!

Epiphany Cabin

Unfortunately, this lodging is not available for rental at this time. We are renovating the space and updating the cabin for future use. This traditional A-Frame cabin is located near the Sap Shack. It is equipped with electricity, but does not have running water. Fortunately, it is a very short walk to the Shower House. The Epiphany Cabin can sleep up to four people. This cabin offers a more rustic camping experience, and its setting in the woods enhances this effect. Immerse yourself in nature and embrace your surroundings, staying in the Epiphany Cabin is an adventure that comes very close to tent camping.
