Agape's summer programs have taken on a new focus which helps to improve the reading and math skills of children. Using materials developed by Christian Literacy Associates of Allegheny County for the reading programs, the camp has been able to help children who are struggling in their reading skills by improving up to one grade level in just one week at camp! Similar achievements are also made in math skills. Math classes range from the very basic up to Algebra, Calculus and Trig.
Volunteers are needed to be teachers and aides. No experience is necessary. Training will be provided. If you are interested in being a tutor you may download a volunteer application form or you may contact the camp at email@example.com or 724-356-2308.
